Ross Mathews (born September 24, 1979)[2] is an American television host and personality. He rose to fame as an intern and a correspondent for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno; he was known as "Ross the Intern" on air.

Mathews has appeared on Celebrity Fit Club, The Insider, Celebrity Big Brother, and as a weekly panelist on Chelsea Lately. He is a judge on RuPaul's Drag Race, hosts a weekly podcast with Westwood One Studios, and assists with hosting The Drew Barrymore Show. He has been a co-host on Live from E! and a correspondent on The Jay Leno Show.

Early life

Raised in Mount Vernon, Washington,[3] Mathews graduated from Mount Vernon High School[4] and graduated from the University of La Verne, in La Verne, California, in 2002. He majored in communications[5] and competed in speech and debate competitions.[6]

From a small farming town in Washington State to his big move to Los Angeles years ago, Ross Mathews, the affable, inspirational TV personality and RuPaul's Drag Race judge has always been authentically himself.

"I come from a small farm town. When I left to the big city, I was going to change and come back a different person. I just happen to have lucked out and had the best family, the best mom in particular, in the history of time," Mathews told The Advocate in a recent video interview.

Ross Matthews (born 23 January 1996) is a Scottish footballer playing for Scottish Championship club Raith Rovers in Scotland.

Career

Born in Edinburgh, Matthews began his career with Edinburgh City and Royston Rangers boys club before being quickly swooped up by Heart of Midlothian. He began his professional career at Raith Rovers. He was first included in a matchday squad on 10 August 2013, remaining an unused substitute in a 0–1 home defeat to Hamilton Academical in the first game of the Scottish Championship season.[1] On 28 December, he made his debut and only appearance of the season, replacing Calum Elliot for the final seven minutes of a 3–0 loss at Livingston.[2] Matthews has been regular in the first team squad for the 2015–16 season and made his first start in the 3rd round tie of the League Cup loss to Celtic at Celtic Park.[3] After the match, he was praised by manager Ray Mckinnon for an outstanding dominant performance in the middle of the park.[4]
