Biography[]
Vongtama was born in Buffalo, New York. He earned degrees in Psychology and Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Buffalo. He did his residency at UCLA in Los Angeles and is also board certified in Radiation Oncology.
Roy's first acting training came at the Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He continued his training in Los Angeles where he has trained extensively with Playhouse product Joe Palese. He currently resides in Santa Monica, California.

Acting since 2001, Vongtama first appeared on ABC'sreality showThe Ultimate Love Test. He has since appeared on television in episodes of the NBC show Windfall, the FX show The Shield, as well as a recurring role on TLC'sUntold Stories of the ER. Filmwise, he is a lead actor in the recently completed independent feature, The Wrath. Vongtama appeared in Warner Bros.'s 2007 feature, The Bucket List, starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.[2]
