Biography and career[]
Fahim Fazli was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. When he was still a teenager, he became part of the Mujahideen freedom fighters during the Afghan-Russian war. He then moved to Pakistan and eventually to the United States with his family. He returned to Afghanistan as an interpreter with the U.S. Marines from 2009 to 2010.
Fazli settled in California with the intention to pursue an acting career. He has appeared in TV shows like The Unit (with Dennis Haysbert, Max Martini, and Michael Irby), Outsourced (with Rizwan Manji and Sacha Dhawan), and NCIS: Los Angeles.
Aside from TV, Fazli has appeared in Academy Award winning films like American Sniper (with Leonard Roberts and Rey Gallegos) and Argo (with Tate Donovan, Rory Cochrane, and Željko Ivanek). Fahim Fazli (Dari: فهیم فاضلی; born May 30, 1966) is an Afghan Americanfilm actor.
Biography
Fazli was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. He escaped Afghanistan and settled in the United States in the 1980s.[1] He returned to Afghanistan as an interpreter with the U.S. Marines in 2009 and 2010.[1] After returning, he wrote a memoir, Fahim Speaks that was released in early 2012.[2]
