Marc Staggers - a native Washingtonian-is an R&B singer with a unique and soulful style that is somewhat reminiscent of the late Luther Vandross.
Before embarking on his new journey, Marc had released several gospel projects and was involved in past compilation CD projects including “Songs of Inspiration” and “What He’s Done for Me,” with the late Clifton Dyson.
Marc had several radio appearances including “Glory in the Morning,” with Winston Chaney on 1340 WYCB (Radio One); Heaven 1580, with Matt and Cheryl; and WWGB 1030, with Debra Britt. Marc was the executive producer of “If You Can Dream,” on 1340 WYCB, which sought to promote local talent.
Marc’s Television appearances have been featured on the Maryland Public Television (MPT) program “Artworks This Week,” with Nate Howard; ABC Channel 2 News, with Terry Owens; ABC Channel 2 “Grace & Glory,” with Lee Michaels; PAX Cable Television show “Life Styles,” with Deborah Britt; and the cable program “Glorify His Name,” hosted by James McCollum.

Biography
Marc Staggers is trying to return to "Old School" and contemporary Smooth Jazz/R&B that all music lovers can appreciate. He has tried to create a musical sound that can truly be described as, "comfort food for the ears,” evoking warm feelings and emotions that seemed to have been absent from music for a long time...until now. Marc's voice is reminiscent of the late Luther Vandross and Marc's lyrics also serve to remind the listener of a time not so long ago, when romance, respect, and love were so important, not just in music, but in life.

Marc Staggers
Marc Staggers started singing in the church choir and studied voice as he was growing up. His initial foray into music started with the release of several gospel albums, on which he worked with talented singers such as the late Clifton Dyson. During his college years, he also studied music with an emphasis on voice, and after graduating college, Staggers continued to study voice under the direction of the world-renowned soprano, Nelda Ormond, under whom he began to recognize his true singing talent, and Ormond was pivotal in helping Marc gain the confidence he needed to pursue a singing career.
In listening to Staggers silky Soul voice you can hear the soulful class of Luther Vandross who also happens to be Staggers favorite all-time vocalist.
