Juwan Howard is a former NBA player and former head coach of the University of Michigan's men's basketball team. Over the course of his five year tenure with the Wolverines, he was named the Big Ten Conference Coach of the Year, Sporting News Coach of the Year, and Associated Press College Basketball Coach of the Year, and was recognized as the best college basketball coach of the year when he was bestowed the Henry Iba Award by the United States Basketball Writers Association.

Howard had a standout collegiate career at the University of Michigan, where he was part of the iconic "Fab Five" alongside Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Jimmy King, and Ray Jackson. The Wolverines reached two consecutive NCAA Championship games in 1992 and 1993.
