Klaus-Dieter Lange is a Distinguished Technologist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), where he has worked since 1998. He began his professional career after receiving his bachelor degrees from the University of Applied Sciences, Lübeck, Germany, and the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 1997. Klaus spent his career working on performance evaluation, workload characterization, benchmark development, and computer systems energy efficiency. He has been active in several of the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC) committees since 2005 and serves as a director of its board. Klaus is the founding chair of the SPECpower Committee, which developed the SPEC Power and Performance Methodology, the SPECpower_ssj2008 benchmark, the SPEC PTDaemon, the Chauffeur Worklet Development Kit (WDK), and the Server Efficiency Rating Tool (SERT) suite. He received several of SPEC's SPECtacular Awards over the years, as well as the SPEC Presidential Award in 2013. Thomas Lang (German:[ˈtoːmaslaŋ]ⓘ; born 5 August 1967) is an Austrian drummer. He is the founding member of the Los Angeles–based progressive/avant garde metal band stOrk and is known for his international session work on a wide variety of genres such as rock, pop, jazz, and heavy metal with artists such as Robert Fripp, and Sugababes, among many others.[1]
Peter Wildoer described Lang as a "drummer's drummer",[2] and Mike Portnoy cited Lang as a drummer he "can't replicate".[3]

Thomas Lang, a native of Stockerau, Austria took up drumming at the age of 5. In addition to lessons at local music schools and years of private tuition, he was classically trained at the Vienna Conservatory of Music. After leaving the conservatory in 1985, Lang began working professionally, working his way through the European pop, rock and jazz scenes.
