Royal Enfield is an Indian multinational motorcycle manufacturing company, headquartered in Chennai.[1] The Royal Enfield brand, including its original English heritage, is the oldest global motorcycle brand in continuous production.[3] The company operates manufacturing plants in Chennai, India.

INSURANCE?
Riders need travel insurance for the period of the tour. This insurance must cover a rider for motorcycles over 50cc's in foreign countries. The motorcycles come insured for Indian roadways.
DOCUMENTS AND CERTIFICATES
Riders will need a valid certificate of travel insurance indicating travel insurance coverage for the period of the motorcycle tour, a valid driver's license from the riders country of origin and a valid International Driver's Permit.
IS RIDING IN INDIA DANGEROUS?
Riding anywhere on the planet carries with it a degree of risk, as does riding in India. If any rider joining us rides in a manner we suspect will endanger themselves, or others, or indeed displays antisocial behavior, they will receive one warning. If they continue to be a threat to the safety or enjoyment of others on the tour, they will be excluded from the remainder of the tour (with no refund given, see terms and conditions).

A brief history of Royal Enfield and the REOC
Bob Walker Smith and Albert Eadie purchase a well known needle manufacturer that had recently branched out into building bicycles.
The company wins a contract to supply precision parts to the Royal Small Arms factory in Enfield. In celebration of this, the company is renamed The Enfield Manufacturing Company Ltd.
The company’s bicycles are renamed “Royal Enfields” and the trademark “Made like a gun” is introduced, and is still in use today in various forms.
The company’s first motorised vehicle, a 1.5 HP quadricycle, is produced, with a De Dion engine.
The company’s name is changed to The Enfield Cycle Co Ltd, a name that continues to be used for the next 70 years.
