* Born Mahmoud Reda Abbas "Abu Mazen" in Safad in 1935.
* Forced to resort with his family to Syria after the attack on the city of Safad and its occupation by the Jewish organizations in April 1948.

Mirza Abbas Ali (born 21 May 1975), is an Indian actor known for his works predominantly in Tamil and Telugu cinema, and few Malayalam and Hindi films.[2]
Following a career as a fashion model, he made his film debut with Kathir's Kadhal Desam (1996), which became a great success and gave him instant recognition. Abbas went on to work in successful movies such as VIP (1997), Pooveli (1998), Padayappa (1999), Suyamvaram (1999), Malabar Police (1999), Kandukondain Kandukondain (2000), Minnale (2001), Aanandham (2001), Pammal K. Sambandam (2002), Adi Thadi (2004), Guru En Aalu (2009), and Ramanujan (2014).[3]

Shir Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, son of late Haji Padshah Khan, was born in 1338 in the village of Abbas village, Baraki Barak district of Logar province.
He completed his primary education in the village Masjid and Omar Khan school in Kabul and is a passed out from Kabul Military School.
He was sent to India by Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan along with other Afghan students for higher military education, and after graduating in 1981, he joined the Jihad front against the Soviet occupation.
He served as a military instructor in Jamiat-e-Islami and Ittihad-e-Islami parties, and in 1985 he was the military commander of the southwestern region of the Ittihad-e-Islami. He has been involved in numerous operations in Qalat, Kandahar Airport, Lashkar Gah and other important operations, and has since met Mullah Burjan, Mullah Mushr, Mullah Mohammad Rabbani and other former Taliban leaders.
In 1990, he was appointed as the military in charge of the Islamic Revolutionary Movement and served in this position until the fall of the Najibullah regime.
