Shaan has provided the vocals for many hit Kannada, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil and Urdu film songs. He is also a talented music composer, lyricist, music director and television presenter. He also helps the music directors on music and lyrics for whom he sings.
Early Life
Shaan was born in a family of musicians. His grandfather was lyricist Jahar Mukherjee, while his father was late music director Manas Muhkerjee. Shaan’s father expired when Shaan was 13 years of age. His mother started working as a singer to support the family. In his early age, Shaan sang jingles for advertisements. Shaan began his musical career in 1989, when he was 17 years of age.
